Algebra, chapter III, § 11. Cogebras, products of multilinear forms, inner products and duality

Being given the basis (ei)1≤i≤n(e_i)_{1 \leq i \leq n} allows us to identify the algebra S(M)S(M) with the polynomial algebra A[X1,…,Xn]A[X_1, \ldots, X_n] (§ 6, no. 6); formula (75) shows that the inner product by e∗αe^{*\alpha} is just the differential operator Dα=D1α1D2α2…DnαnD^\alpha = D_1^{\alpha_1}D_2^{\alpha_2}\ldots D_n^{\alpha_n}, where Di=∂/∂XiD_i = \partial/\partial X_i for 1≤i≤n1 \leq i \leq n (§ 10, no. 11, Example).

Consider finally the exterior algebra Λ(M)\Lambda(M), which has as basis the set of elements eJe_J, where JJ runs through the set of subsets of the interval {1,n}\{1, n\} of N\mathbf{N} (§ 7, no. 8, Theorem 1); similarly Λ(M∗)\Lambda(M^*) has as basis the elements eJ∗e_J^*. It follows from formula (68) of no. 9 that

{eK∗∧eJ=0if K∉JeK∗∧eJ=(−1)p(p−1)/2ρK,J−KeJ−Kif K⊂J and p=Card⁡(K), \begin{cases} e_K^* \wedge e_J = 0 & \text{if } K \notin J \\ e_K^* \wedge e_J = (-1)^{p(p-1)/2} \rho_{K, J-K} e_{J-K} & \text{if } K \subset J \text{ and } p = \operatorname{Card}(K), \end{cases}

(76)

where ρK,J−K\rho_{K, J-K} is the number defined by formula (19) of § 7, no. 8. There are analogous formulae with the roles of MM and M∗M^* interchanged.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
