Algebra, chapter VI, § 1. Ordered groups. Divisibility

— For a nonzero element p of A to be irreducible it is sufficient that it not be a unit, and that it cannot divide a product of two elements of A without dividing one or other of them. This condition is necessary if P∗\mathscr{P}^* is lattice ordered.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
