Topological Vector Spaces, chapter III, § 1. Bornology in a topological vector space

Let EE be a vector space. A bornology B\mathscr{B} on EE is said to be convex, if for every X∈BX \in \mathscr{B} and t∈Kt \in K, the homothetic set tXtX and the convex balanced envelope Γ(X)\Gamma(X) (II, p. 10) of XX belong to B\mathscr{B}.

If XX and YY are two subsets of EE, we have

X+Y⊂2Γ(X∪Y) X + Y \subset 2\Gamma(X \cup Y)
λX⊂tΓ(X)for∣λ∣≤t. \lambda X \subset t\Gamma(X) \quad \text{for} \quad |\lambda| \leq t .

Consequently, if B\mathscr{B} is a convex bornology on EE, if AA is a bounded subset of KK and if X,YX, Y belong to B\mathscr{B}, then X+Y∈BX + Y \in \mathscr{B} and A.X∈BA.X \in \mathscr{B}.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
