Topological Vector Spaces, chapter III, § 1. Bornology in a topological vector space

Let EE be a locally convex space. The set of all bounded subsets of EE is called the canonical bornology of EE.

If B\mathscr{B} is a set of bounded subsets of EE, then there exists a smallest bornology B~\tilde{\mathscr{B}} adapted to EE and containing B\mathscr{B}. The sets of B~\tilde{\mathscr{B}} are those that are contained in a set homothetic to the closed convex balanced envelope of a finite union of sets of B\mathscr{B}.

Every adapted bornology is contained in the canonical bornology.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
