Topological Vector Spaces, chapter III, § 1. Bornology in a topological vector space

With the above notations, let FnF_n be the vector space generated by HnH_n, with a norm equal to the gauge of HnH_n. We shall see (III, p. 8, cor.) that FnF_n is a Banach space. The injection from FnF_n into En+1E_{n+1} is compact, hence a fortiori also the injection wnw_n from FnF_n into Fn+1F_{n+1}. Further, EE is the inductive limit of the inductive system (Fn,wn)(F_n, w_n) of Banach spaces. For, a convex balanced neighbourhood VV of 0 in EE is such that V∩EnV \cap E_n absorbs Hn−1H_{n-1} for all n≥1n \geq 1, and conversely, if a convex balanced set WW in EE is such that W∩EnW \cap E_n absorbs Hn−1H_{n-1}, then W∩En−1W \cap E_{n-1} contains a set homothetic to Wn−1W_{n-1} for all n≥1n \geq 1, and hence WW is a neighbourhood of 0 in EE.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
