Topological Vector Spaces, chapter III, § 4. The Banach-Steinhaus theorem

— Let E be a barrelled space, F a locally convex space. Every simply bounded subset H of L(E;F)\mathscr{L}(E; F) is equicontinuous.

For, let pp be a continuous semi-norm on F; let q=sup⁡u∈H(p∘u)q = \sup_{u \in H} (p \circ u). Since H is simply bounded, we have q(x)<+∞q(x) < +\infty for all x∈Ex \in E and qq is a lower semi-continuous semi-norm, being the finite superior envelope of continuous semi-norms. Since E is barrelled, qq is a continuous semi-norm and therefore H is equicontinuous.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
