Topological Vector Spaces, chapter IV, § 1. Duality

— Let A be a compact convex subset of a Hausdorff locally convex space G, and let A~\tilde{A} be the closed convex balanced envelope of A. When the field K is R\mathbf{R}, the set A~\tilde{A} is the closed convex envelope of A∪(−A)A \cup (-A); when K is C\mathbf{C}, the set A~\tilde{A} is contained in the closed convex envelope of 2A∪(−2A)∪(2iA)∪(−2iA)2A \cup (-2A) \cup (2iA) \cup (-2iA). Consequently (II, p. 14, prop. 15), A~\tilde{A} is compact.

We deduce, in particular, that when the duality between E and F is separating in F, the Mackey topology τ(E,F)\tau(E, F) is also the S′\mathfrak{S}'-topology, where S′\mathfrak{S}' is the set of all convex subsets of F which are compact for σ(F,E)\sigma(F, E). In an analogous way we define the Mackey topology τ(F,E)\tau(F, E) on F.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
