Functions of a Real Variable, chapter II, § 3. DERIVATIVES AND INTEGRALS OF FUNCTIONS DEPENDING ON A PARAMETER

Let (fα)(\mathbf{f}_\alpha ) be a family of regulated functions on an interval II such that: 1 with respect to the filter F\mathfrak{F} the family (fα)(\mathbf{f}_\alpha ) converges uniformly to a function ff (regulated on II) on every compact interval contained in II; 2 the integral ∫Ifα(t) dt\int_I \mathbf{f}_\alpha(t)\,dt is uniformly convergent for every α∈A\alpha \in A. Under these hypotheses the integral ∫If(t) dt\int_I f(t)\,dt is convergent, and one has

lim⁡F∫Ifα(t) dt=∫If(t) dt. \lim_{\mathfrak{F}} \int_I \mathbf{f}_\alpha(t)\,dt = \int_I f(t)\,dt.

The hypotheses of prop. 3 are fulfilled when for example II is a bounded interval, the fα\mathbf{f}_\alpha are uniformly bounded on II, and converge uniformly to ff on every compact interval contained in II; indeed, if ∥fα(x)∥≤h\| \mathbf{f}_\alpha(x) \| \leq h for all x∈Ix \in I and all α\alpha, and if J0J_0 is such that the difference between the lengths of II and J0J_0 is ≤ε/h\leq \varepsilon / h, then condition (7) is satisfied for every interval K⊂IK \subset I with no interior point in common with J0J_0.

As with prop. 1 of II, p. 68, two corollaries to prop. 3 are important in applications:

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
