Functions of a Real Variable, chapter V, § 1. COMPARISON OF FUNCTIONS ON A FILTERED SET

For a real function f∈H(F,R)f \in \mathscr{H}(\mathfrak{F}, \mathbf{R}) the relation f≃1f \simeq 1 means that there are two numbers a>0, b>0a > 0,\ b > 0 such that a≤∣f(x)∣≤ba \leq |f(x)| \leq b on a set in F\mathfrak{F}, or that the function log⁡∣f∣\log |f| is bounded on a set in F\mathfrak{F}: one then says that ff is logarithmically bounded on a set in F\mathfrak{F}.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
