Functions of a Real Variable, chapter V, § 1. COMPARISON OF FUNCTIONS ON A FILTERED SET

Let ff and gg be two functions in H(F,R)\mathscr{H}(\mathfrak{F}, \mathbf{R}) which are strictly positive on a set in F\mathfrak{F}; for every α\alpha real and ≠0\neq 0 the relation f≍gf \asymp g (resp. f∼gf \sim g) is equivalent to fα≍gαf^\alpha \asymp g^\alpha (resp. fα∼gαf^\alpha \sim g^\alpha); if α>0\alpha > 0 the relation f≼gf \preccurlyeq g (resp. f≪gf \ll g) is equivalent to fα≼gαf^\alpha \preccurlyeq g^\alpha (resp. fα≪gαf^\alpha \ll g^\alpha); if α<0\alpha < 0 it is equivalent to fα≽gαf^\alpha \succcurlyeq g^\alpha (resp. fα≻gαf^\alpha \succ g^\alpha).

The proofs are immediate.

One notes that in H(F,R)\mathscr{H}(\mathfrak{F}, \mathbf{R}) the set I′I' of functions strictly positive on a set in F\mathfrak{F} is such that Γ/R∞\Gamma/\mathbf{R}_\infty is a multiplicative group Γ∞\Gamma_\infty in H∞(F,R)\mathscr{H}_\infty(\mathfrak{F}, \mathbf{R}); Γ/R0\Gamma/\mathbf{R}_0 is identical to the quotient group of Γ∞\Gamma_\infty by the subgroup of classes (mod. R∞\mathbf{R}_\infty) of logarithmically bounded functions in Γ\Gamma; on Γ/R0\Gamma/\mathbf{R}_0 the order relation deduced from the relation f≼gf \preccurlyeq g by passage to the quotient is compatible with the group structure of Γ/R0\Gamma/\mathbf{R}_0 and thus makes it an ordered group.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
