Functions of a Real Variable, chapter V, § 3. ASYMPTOTIC EXPANSIONS OF FUNCTIONS OF A REAL VARIABLE

If on a neighbourhood of α\alpha one has f(x)≤1/(x−α)μf(x) \leq 1/(x-\alpha)^{\mu} for some μ<1\mu < 1 then the integral ∫αaf(t) dt\int_{\alpha}^{a} f(t) \, dt converges; if f(x)≥1/(x−α)μf(x) \geq 1/(x-\alpha)^{\mu} for some μ≥1\mu \geq 1 then the integral ∫αaf(t) dt\int_{\alpha}^{a} f(t) \, dt is infinite.

We leave it to the reader to translate the logarithmic criterion of order nn similarly.

The application of the logarithmic criteria is immediate if one knows how to obtain the principal part of ff with respect to a comparison scale containing the functions that feature in these criteria: if f1f_1 is the principal part, the integral ∫α+∞f(t) dt\int_{\alpha}^{+\infty} f(t) \, dt converges or is infinite together with ∫α+∞f1(t) dt\int_{\alpha}^{+\infty} f_1(t) \, dt, and the logarithmic criteria apply immediately to this last integral.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
