Integration, chapter II, § 1. Riesz spaces and fully lattice-ordered spaces

Let (Eι)ι∈I(E_\iota)_{\iota \in I} be a family of ordered vector spaces. For the product space E=∏ι∈IEιE = \prod_{\iota \in I} E_\iota to be a Riesz space (resp. a fully lattice-ordered space), it is necessary and sufficient that each of the spaces EιE_\iota be a Riesz space (resp. a fully lattice-ordered space).

Let us restrict ourselves to examining the case of fully lattice-ordered spaces. Suppose that all of the EιE_\iota are fully lattice-ordered; let AA be a nonempty subset of EE that is bounded above and let a=(aι)a = (a_\iota) be an upper bound for AA. For every ι∈I\iota \in I, pr⁡ιA\operatorname{pr}_\iota A is bounded above by aιa_\iota, hence has a supremum bιb_\iota in EιE_\iota; it is clear that b=(bι)b = (b_\iota) is the supremum of AA in EE.

Conversely, suppose EE is fully lattice-ordered. Let AκA_\kappa be a subset of EκE_\kappa that is bounded above, Aκ′A'_\kappa the subset of EE formed by the x=(xι)x = (x_\iota) such that xκ∈Aκx_\kappa \in A_\kappa and xι=0x_\iota = 0 for ι≠κ\iota \neq \kappa. It is immediate that Aκ′A'_\kappa is bounded above in EE, hence has a supremum b=(bι)b = (b_\iota); by the definition of the product order relation, necessarily bι=0b_\iota = 0 for ι≠κ\iota \neq \kappa, and bκb_\kappa is the supremum of AκA_\kappa, which completes the proof.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
