Integration, chapter III, § 4. Products of measures

— Let (Xλ)λ∈L(X_\lambda)_{\lambda \in L} be a family of compact spaces; set X=∏λ∈LXλX = \prod_{\lambda \in L} X_\lambda and, for every finite subset JJ of LL, set XJ=∏λ∈JXλX_J = \prod_{\lambda \in J} X_\lambda; denote by prJ:X→XJ\mathrm{pr}_J : X \to X_J and prJ,K:XK→XJ\mathrm{pr}_{J, K} : X_K \to X_J (for J⊂KJ \subset K) the canonical projections. We know that (XJ,prJK)(X_J, \mathrm{pr}_{JK}) is an inverse system of compact spaces, and that the inverse limit of the system of continuous mappings (prJ)(\mathrm{pr}_J) is a homomorphism of XX onto the inverse limit space lim⁡←XJ\lim_{\leftarrow} X_J, permitting one to identify these two spaces (GT, I, §4, No. 4 and S, III, §7, No. 2, Remark 3). Since the projections prJ,K\mathrm{pr}_{J, K} are surjective, it follows from Prop. 8 that the set M(X;C)\mathscr{M}(X; \mathbf{C}) (resp. M+(X)\mathscr{M}_+(X)) may be identified with the set of inverse systems (μJ)(\mu_J) such that the family of norms (∥μJ∥)(\| \mu_J \|) is bounded (resp. such that the μJ\mu_J are all positive, and necessarily of the same total mass).

Let us consider in particular the case where, for each λ∈L\lambda \in L, a measure μλ\mu_\lambda is given on XλX_\lambda and one sets μJ=⨂λ∈Jμλ\mu_J = \bigotimes_{\lambda \in J} \mu_\lambda. If J⊂KJ \subset K are two finite subsets of II then, for every function fJ∈C(XJ;C)f_J \in \mathscr{C}(X_J; \mathbf{C}) we have, by virtue of formula (14) of No. 4,

μK(fJ∘prJ,K)=μJ(fJ)⋅∏λ∈K−Jμλ(1). \mu_K(f_J \circ \mathrm{pr}_{J, K}) = \mu_J(f_J) \cdot \prod_{\lambda \in K - J} \mu_\lambda(1).

For (μJ)(\mu_J) to be an inverse system of measures, it is therefore necessary and sufficient that either μλ=0\mu_\lambda = 0 for all λ∈L\lambda \in L or μλ(1)=1\mu_\lambda(1) = 1 for all λ∈L\lambda \in L.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
