Integration, chapter IV, § 1. Upper integral of a positive function

Given a positive measure μ\mu on XX, one calls upper integral of a function f∈J+f \in \mathscr{J}_+ (with respect to μ\mu) the positive number (finite or equal to +∞+\infty)

μ∗(f)=sup⁡g∈H+,g≤fμ(g). \mu^*(f) = \sup_{g \in \mathscr{H}_+, g \leq f} \mu(g).

For every function f∈H+f \in \mathscr{H}_+, it is clear that μ∗(f)=μ(f)\mu^*(f) = \mu(f), in other words μ∗\mu^* is an extension of μ\mu to J+\mathscr{J}_+.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
