Integration, chapter IV, § 1. Upper integral of a positive function

— For every family (fι)ι∈I(f_\iota)_{\iota \in I} of functions in J+J_+,

μ∗(∑ι∈Ifι)=∑ι∈Iμ∗(fι). \mu^*\left( \sum_{\iota \in I} f_\iota \right) = \sum_{\iota \in I} \mu^*(f_\iota).

For every finite subset JJ of II, it follows from Th. 2 (by induction on the number of elements of JJ) that μ∗(∑ι∈Jfι)=∑ι∈Jμ∗(fι)\mu^*\left( \sum_{\iota \in J} f_\iota \right) = \sum_{\iota \in J} \mu^*(f_\iota); as JJ runs over the set of finite subsets of II, the functions gJ=∑ι∈Jfιg_J = \sum_{\iota \in J} f_\iota belong to J+J_+ and form a directed set for the relation ≤\leq, whose upper envelope is the function ∑ι∈Ifι\sum_{\iota \in I} f_\iota; the proposition therefore follows from Th. 1.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
