Integration, chapter IV, § 3. LP spaces

— Let FF and GG be two Banach spaces, uu a continuous linear mapping of FF into GG. For every function f∈LFpf \in \mathscr{L}_F^p, the composite function u∘fu \circ f belongs to LGp\mathscr{L}_G^p.

Let f∈LFpf \in \mathscr{L}_F^p; for every ε>0\varepsilon > 0, there exists a function g∈KFg \in \mathscr{K}_F such that Np(f−g)≤εN_p(f - g) \leq \varepsilon; since ∣u∘f−u∘g∣≤∥u∥⋅∣f−g∣|u \circ f - u \circ g| \leq \|u\| \cdot |f - g|, we have

Np(u∘f−u∘g)≤∥u∥⋅Np(f−g)≤ε∥u∥, N_p(u \circ f - u \circ g) \leq \|u\| \cdot N_p(f - g) \leq \varepsilon \|u\|,

and since u∘gu \circ g is continuous with compact support, the theorem is proved.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
