Integration, chapter IX, § 6. Promeasures and measures on a locally convex space

— Let E1E_1 and E2E_2 be two Hilbert spaces, uu a Hilbert–Schmidt mapping of E1E_1 into E2E_2, and μ\mu a promeasure on E1E_1. Assume that the Fourier transform Φ\Phi of μ\mu is continuous on E1E_1. Then the promeasure ν=u(μ)\nu = u(\mu) is a measure on E2E_2 equipped with the weak topology.

With the identifications of E1E_1 and E2E_2 with their duals introduced in this No., the Fourier transform of ν\nu is equal to Φ∘u∗\Phi \circ u^*, where u∗u^* is the adjoint of uu. Now, u∗u^* is a Hilbert–Schmidt mapping of E2E_2 into E1E_1 (Annex, No. 2), and the quadratic form y↦∥u∗(y)∥2y \mapsto \|u^*(y)\|^2 on E2E_2 is therefore nuclear. If (E2)S(E_2)_\mathscr{S} denotes E2E_2 equipped with the Sazonov topology, u∗u^* is therefore a continuous linear mapping of (E2)S(E_2)_\mathscr{S} into E1E_1, and FV=Φ∘u∗\mathscr{F}_V = \Phi \circ u^* is continuous on (E2)S(E_2)_\mathscr{S}; Theorem 3 then shows that ν\nu is a measure on the space E2E_2 equipped with the weak topology.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
