Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter I, § 1. Definition of Lie algebras

Let gg be a Lie algebra over KK and DD a derivation of gg. Let hh be the commutative Lie algebra KK. The mapping λ↦λD(λ∈K)\lambda \mapsto \lambda D (\lambda \in K) is a homomorphism of hh into the Lie algebra of derivations of gg. We form the corresponding semi-direct product tt of hh by gg. Let x0x_0 be the element (0,1)(0, 1) of tt. For all x∈gx \in g, Dx=[x0,x]Dx = [x_0, x].

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
