Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter III, § 6. Real and complex Lie groups

*Let G be a complex Lie group and x∈L(G)x \in L(G). The tangent mapping at xx to exp⁡G\exp_G has kernel ⨁n∈Z−{0}Ker(ad x−2iπn)\bigoplus_{n \in \mathbf{Z} - \{0\}} \mathrm{Ker}(\mathrm{ad}\ x - 2i\pi n).

The integral function z↦∑n⩾01(n+1)!znz \mapsto \sum_{n \geqslant 0} \frac{1}{(n + 1)!} z^n, equal to ez−1z\frac{e^z - 1}{z} for z≠0z \neq 0, admits as zeros the points of 2πiZ−{0}2\pi i \mathbf{Z} - \{0\}, which are all simple zeros. The corollary then follows from Proposition 12 and the following lemma:

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
