Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter III, § 9. Commutators, centralizers and normalizers in a Lie group

Let G be a finite-dimensional real or complex Lie group and A an integral subgroup of G. Then DA=DADA = DA. In particular, A is a normal subgroup of A‾\overline{A} and A‾/A\overline{A}/A is commutative.

Let a=L(A)a = L(A). Let G1G_1 be the set of g∈Gg \in G such that

(Ad g)x≡x(modDa)for all x∈a.(\mathrm{Ad}\, g)x \equiv x \pmod{\mathscr{D}a} \quad \text{for all } x \in a.

Then G1G_1 is a closed subgroup of GG. If y∈ay \in a, then exp⁡y∈G1\exp y \in G_1, by § 6, no. 4, Corollary 3 (ii) to Proposition 10. Hence G1G_1 contains AA and therefore A‾\overline{A}. Thus, for g∈A‾g \in \overline{A}, L(Int g)L(\mathrm{Int}\, g) leaves aa stable and therefore Int g\mathrm{Int}\, g leaves AA stable; more precisely, L(Int g)L(\mathrm{Int}\, g) defines the identity automorphism of a/Daa/\mathscr{D}a and hence Int g\mathrm{Int}\, g defines the identity automorphism of A/DAA/DA. This proves that (A‾,A)⊂DA(\overline{A}, A) \subset DA. With the real Lie group structure on GG, A‾\overline{A} is a Lie subgroup (§ 8, no. 2, Theorem 2); let bb be its Lie algebra. Let G2G_2 be the set of g∈Gg \in G such that

(Ad g)x≡x(modDa)for all x∈b.(\mathrm{Ad}\, g)x \equiv x \pmod{\mathscr{D}a} \quad \text{for all } x \in b.

By the above, G2⊇AG_2 \supseteq A and hence G2⊇A‾G_2 \supseteq \overline{A}. Therefore, for g∈A‾g \in \overline{A}, Int gg leaves DA stable and defines the identity automorphism of A‾/DA\overline{A}/DA. Hence DA⊇DA‾DA \supseteq D\overline{A}.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
