Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter III, § 9. Commutators, centralizers and normalizers in a Lie group

Suppose that K=RK = R or CC. Let G1,G2G_1, G_2 be two finite-dimensional connected Lie groups, R1R_1 and R2R_2 their radicals and ϕ\phi a surjective morphism of G1G_1 into G2G_2. Then ϕ(R1)=R2\phi(R_1) = R_2.

By §3§ 3, no. 8, Proposition 28, L(ϕ)L(\phi) is surjective. Hence L(ϕ)(L(R1))=L(R2)L(\phi)(L(R_1)) = L(R_2) (Chapter I, §6§ 6, Corollary 3 to Proposition 2). Let ii be the canonical injection of R1R_1 into G1G_1. Then the image of ϕ∘i\phi \circ i is R2R_2 (§6§ 6, no. 2, Corollary 1 to Proposition 1).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
