Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter V, § 4. The geometric representation of a Coxeter group

If (W,S)(W, S) is irreducible and finite, its graph is a tree.

Indeed, a connected forest is a tree.

Comparison with the results of § 3.

First of all let (W,S)(W, S) be a finite Coxeter group. Denote by (x∣y)(x|y) the form BM(x,y)B_M(x, y); by Th. 2, this is a scalar product on EE. For all s∈Ss \in S, let HsH_s be the hyperplane associated to the orthogonal reflection σs\sigma_s, and let H\mathfrak{H} be the family of hyperplanes w(Hs)w(H_s), for s∈Ss \in S, w∈Ww \in W. Let C0C_0 be the set of x∈Ex \in E such that (x∣es)>0(x|e_s) > 0 for all s∈Ss \in S. Finally, identify WW (by means of σ\sigma) with a subgroup of the orthogonal group O(E)\mathbf{O}(E) of the space EE.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
