General Topology, chapter II, § 2. Uniformly continuous functions

If ϖ\varpi is any finite partition (Ai)1≤i≤n(A_i)_{1 \leq i \leq n} of a non-empty set XX, the set Vϖ=⋃i(Ai×Ai)V_\varpi = \bigcup_i (A_i \times A_i) by itself constitutes a fundamental system of entourages of a uniformity Uϖ\mathfrak{U}_\varpi on XX (§ 1, no. 1, Example 2); the uniformity of finite partitions on XX (no. 2, Remark 1) is then the least upper bound of the uniformities Uϖ\mathfrak{U}_\varpi.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
