General Topology, chapter IV, § 5. Real-valued functions

Let A be a subset of R‾\overline{\mathbf{R}} and let a≠−∞a \neq -\infty be a point in the closure of the intersection A∩[−∞,a[A \cap [-\infty, a[. If f is a monotonic real-valued function defined on A, then f has a limit f(a−)f(a-) on the left at a, relative to A.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
