General Topology, chapter IX, § 5. Baire spaces
A subset of a topological space is said to be nowhere dense if its closure has no interior points.
Equivalently, is nowhere dense in if and only if the exterior of is dense in .
A closed set is nowhere dense if and only if it has no interior points; that is, if and only if it coincides with its frontier. An arbitrary subset is nowhere dense if and only if the closure of is nowhere dense. Every subset of a nowhere dense set is nowhere dense.
Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
