Commutative Algebra, chapter VIII, § 1. Dimension de Krull d’un anneau

For every p∈Spec(A)p \in \mathrm{Spec}(A), one has z(A/p)=[V(p)]z(A/p) = [V(p)]. More generally, let MM be a finitely generated AA-module, and let (Mi)0≤i≤n(M_i)_{0 \leq i \leq n} be a composition sequence of MM such that for 0≤i≤n−10 \leq i \leq n-1, the module Mi/Mi+1M_i/M_{i+1} is isomorphic to A/piA/p_i, where pip_i is a prime ideal of AA (cf. IV, § 1, No. 4, Theorem 1); then one has z(M)=∑i∈J[V(pi)]z(M) = \sum_{i \in J} [V(p_i)], where JJ is the subset of II consisting of the ii such that pip_i is a minimal element of {p0,...,pn−1}\{ p_0, ..., p_{n-1} \} (IV, § 1, No. 4, Theorem 2 and § 2, No. 5, Remark 1).

For every integer dd, let us denote by Z≤dZ_{\leq d} (resp. ZdZ_d, resp. Z>dZ^{>d}, resp. ZdZ^d) the Z\mathbf{Z}-submodule of Z(A)Z(A) generated by the elements [V(p)][V(p)] where pp is a prime ideal of AA such that dim⁡(A/p)≤d\dim(A/p) \leq d (resp. dim⁡(A/p)=d\dim(A/p) = d, resp. ht(p)≥d\mathrm{ht}(p) \geq d, resp. ht(p)=d\mathrm{ht}(p) = d). The elements of ZdZ_d (resp. ZdZ^d) are called cycles of dimension dd (resp. of codimension dd). One obviously has

Z≤d=Z≤d−1⊕Zd,Z>d=Z>d+1⊕Zd. Z_{\leq d} = Z_{\leq d-1} \oplus Z_d,\quad Z^{>d} = Z^{>d+1} \oplus Z^d.
Let moreover CC be the set of classes of finitely generated AA-modules (A, VIII, § 3, No. 5), and for each integer dd, let C≤dC_{\leq d} (resp. C>dC^{>d}) be the subset of CC consisting of the classes of finitely generated AA-modules of dimension ≤d\leq d (resp. whose support is of codimension ≥d\geq d in Spec(A)\mathrm{Spec}(A)).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
