Commutative Algebra, chapter VIII, § 3. Dimension des anneaux noethériens

Let AA be a local noetherian ring, identified with a subring of its completion A^\hat{A}, and BB a subring of A^\hat{A} containing AA. Suppose that BB is local noetherian and that one has mAB=mBm_A B = m_B. Then the canonical injection of AA into BB extends to an isomorphism of A^\hat{A} onto the completion B^\hat{B} of BB (III, §3§ 3, No. 5, Proposition 11), whence dim⁡(B)=dim⁡(A)\dim(B) = \dim(A) (Corollary 2 to Proposition 8). This applies in particular to the following situation. \* Let kk be a complete non-discrete valued field, AA the local ring of the polynomial ring k[X1,...,Xn]k[X_1, ..., X_n] at the prime ideal generated by X1,...,XnX_1, ..., X_n, and BB the ring of convergent power series in X1,...,XnX_1, ..., X_n with coefficients in kk. Then the preceding hypotheses are satisfied, and consequently one has dim⁡(B)=n\dim(B) = n.*

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
