Commutative Algebra, chapter VIII, § 5. Anneaux locaux réguliers

Let us keep the preceding notation. A polynomial P in Vn[T]V_n[T] of degree d≥2d \geq 2 is said to be special if it is of the form Td+∑i=1daiTd−iT^d + \sum_{i=1}^d a_i T^{d-i}, where a1,...,ad−1a_1, ..., a_{d-1} belong to mVnm_{V_n}, ada_d belongs to mV+mVn2m_V + m_{V_n}^2 but not to mVn2m_{V_n}^2. In particular, P is an Eisenstein polynomial for mVnm_{V_n}. Put A=Vn[T]/(P)A = V_n[T]/(P). By the corollary of Prop. 4 of No. 4, the ring A is complete regular local noetherian, of dimension n+1n + 1. If t is the class of T modulo (P), the sequence (1,t,...,td−1)(1, t, ..., t^{d-1}) is a basis of the VnV_n-module A, and (X1,...,Xn,t)(X_1, ..., X_n, t) is a system of coordinates of A: in fact, there exists a uniformiser π\pi of V such that ad≡πmod  .mVn2a_d \equiv \pi \mod. m_{V_n}^2; since one also has

ad=−t(td−1+a1td−2+⋯+ad−1), a_d = -t(t^{d-1} + a_1 t^{d-2} + \cdots + a_{d-1}),
one has π∈mA2\pi \in m_A^2; since mAm_A is generated by {π,X1,...,Xn,t}\{\pi, X_1, ..., X_n, t\}, this proves our assertion. Moreover, V is a Cohen subring of A, for κV\kappa_V is identified with κVn\kappa_{V_n}, and κVn\kappa_{V_n} with κA\kappa_A by the corollary to Prop. 4 of No. 4.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
