Commutative Algebra, chapter IX, § 1. Vecteurs de Witt

Let a=(an)n∈Na = (a_n)_{n \in \mathbf{N}} and u=(un)n∈Nu = (u_n)_{n \in \mathbf{N}} be elements of ANA^\mathbf{N} such that u=ΦA(a)u = \Phi_A(a), and let mm be an integer ⩾0\geqslant 0. From (10) one deduces the following assertions:

If the unu_n, for 0⩽n⩽m0 \leqslant n \leqslant m, belong to a subring BB of AA and if, for every x∈Ax \in A, the relation p.x∈Bp.x \in B implies x∈Bx \in B, then the ana_n, for 0⩽n⩽m0 \leqslant n \leqslant m, belong to BB.

If AA is endowed with a graduation of type N\mathbf{N}, if p.1Ap.1_A is not a divisor of 0 in AA, if d∈Nd \in \mathbf{N} and if unu_n is homogeneous of degree dpndp^n for 0⩽n⩽m0 \leqslant n \leqslant m, then ana_n is homogeneous of degree dpndp^n for 0⩽n⩽m0 \leqslant n \leqslant m.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
