Commutative Algebra, chapter X, § 2. Modules et anneaux macaulayens

Let AA be an integrally closed noetherian ring and BB a ring containing AA. Suppose that BB is a torsion-free AA-module, of finite type. If BB is a Macaulay ring, the AA-module BB is Macaulay.

In fact, two prime ideals of BB lying over the same ideal of AA have the same height (VIII, §2§ 2, No. 3, Theorem 2). One can therefore apply Prop. 8 with N=BN = B.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
