Commutative Algebra, chapter X, § 3. Profondeur et dimension homologique

Let NN be a finitely generated AA-module; the condition ExtAn(A/m,N)=0\mathrm{Ext}_{A}^{n}(A/\mathfrak{m}, N) = 0 for every maximal ideal m\mathfrak{m} of AA does not necessarily imply diA(N)<n\mathrm{di}_{A}(N) < n. If, for example, the ring AA is local and is not a Gorenstein ring (No. 7, Def. 1), one has ExtAn(A/m,A)=0\mathrm{Ext}_{A}^{n}(A/\mathfrak{m}, A) = 0 for n<prof(A)n < \mathrm{prof}(A) but diA(A)=+∞\mathrm{di}_{A}(A) = +\infty.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
