Commutative Algebra, chapter X, § 3. Profondeur et dimension homologique

Let AA be a noetherian ring. The following conditions are equivalent:

(i) AA is a Gorenstein ring ; (ii) for every prime ideal pp of AA, the κ(p)\kappa(p)-vector space Ext⁡Api(κ(p),Ap)\operatorname{Ext}^i_{A_p}(\kappa(p), A_p) is zero for i≠ht⁡(p)i \neq \operatorname{ht}(p) and of dimension 1 for i=ht⁡(p)i = \operatorname{ht}(p). (iii) for every maximal ideal mm of AA, there exists an integer i>ht⁡(m)i > \operatorname{ht}(m) such that Ext⁡Ami(A/m,Am)=0\operatorname{Ext}^i_{A_m}(A/m, A_m) = 0.

(i) ⇒\Rightarrow (ii) : this follows from th. 2 applied to the local Gorenstein ring ApA_p (example 1). (ii) ⇒\Rightarrow (iii) : this is trivial. (iii) ⇒\Rightarrow (i) : under assumption (iii), AmA_m is a Gorenstein ring for every maximal ideal mm of AA (th. 2), and AA is Gorenstein.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
