Algebra, chapter IX, § 7. Formes hermitiennes et corps ordonnés

Suppose EE is finite-dimensional, and A=KA = K or A=K(i)A = K(i). If Φ\Phi is a positive non-degenerate hermitian form on EE, then the extensions of Φ\Phi to ⨂pE\bigotimes^p E and ∧pE\wedge^p E (p>0p > 0), as well as the inverse form of Φ\Phi, are positive non-degenerate hermitian forms.

This follows at once from the existence of an orthonormal basis of EE, and from prop. 2, §6§ 6, no 1.

Prop. 1 remains true if « positive non-degenerate » is replaced everywhere by « positive ».

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
