Algebra, chapter X, § 3. Résolutions

Let MM be an AA-module. A left resolution of MM is a pair (P,p)(P,p) where PP is a complex zero on the right and p:P→Mp:P\to M is a homomorphism. A right resolution of MM is a pair (e,E)(e,E) where EE is a complex zero on the left and e:M→Ee:M\to E a homomorphism.

The length of the resolution (P,p)(P,p) (resp. (e,E)(e,E)) is called the length of the complex PP (resp. EE). If (P,p)(P,p) and (P′,p′)(P',p') (resp. (e,E)(e,E) and (e′,E′)(e',E')) are two left (resp. right) resolutions of MM, a morphism of complexes f:P→P′f:P\to P' such that p′∘f=pp'\circ f=p (resp. g:E→E′g:E\to E' such that g∘e=e′g\circ e=e') is called a morphism of resolutions.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
