Algebra, chapter X, § 3. Résolutions

If f,g∈HomA(M,N)f, g \in \mathrm{Hom}_A(M, N), one does not have L(f+g)=L(f)+L(g)L(f + g) = L(f) + L(g). However these two morphisms are homotopic according to X, p. 49, prop. 3.

Let MM be a right a-module; denote by A∘A^\circ the opposite ring of AA, by M∘M^\circ the underlying A∘A^\circ-module of MM, by L(M∘)L(M^\circ) its canonical free resolution. This is denoted by L(M)L(M), and the underlying A-complex L(M∘)∘L(M^\circ)^\circ of L(M∘)L(M^\circ) is called the canonical free resolution of MM. Thus one has

L(M∘)=L(M)∘. L(M^\circ) = L(M)^\circ .

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
