Algebra, chapter X, § 9. Complexes de Koszul

a) If ∑i∈IxiA=A\sum_{i \in I} x_i A = A, the family (xi)i∈I(x_i)_{i \in I} is completely secant for M. b) Let x=(x1,...,xn)x = (x_1, ..., x_n) be a sequence of elements of A. Let (aij)∈GLn(A)(a_{ij}) \in \mathrm{GL}_n(A); put

yi=∑jaijxj. y_i = \sum_j a_{ij} x_j.
If the sequence xx is completely secant for M, the same is true of the sequence (y1,...,yn)(y_1, ..., y_n). c) Let k1,...,knk_1, ..., k_n be integers ⩾1\geqslant 1; in order that the sequence (x1k1,...,xnkn)(x_1^{k_1}, ..., x_n^{k_n}) be completely secant for M, it is necessary and sufficient that the sequence xx be completely secant for M. Assertion a) follows from cor. 1, p. 148. Let us prove b). Let f:An→Anf : A^n \to A^n be the isomorphism defined by the matrix t(aij)^t(a_{ij}); it follows from X, p. 151, that 1M⊗Λ(f)1_M \otimes \Lambda(f) is an isomorphism of the complex K.(y,M)K.(y, M) onto the complex K.(x,M)K.(x, M), whence b). To prove c), it is obviously enough to prove that if kk is an integer ⩾1\geqslant 1, the sequence (x1,...,xn−1,xnk)(x_1, ..., x_{n-1}, x_n^k) is completely secant for M if and only if the same is true of the sequence xx. Let x′=(x1,...,xn−1)x' = (x_1, ..., x_{n-1}); by cor. 3, p. 157, the first condition (resp. the second) means that the homothety of ratio xnkx_n^k (resp. xnx_n) is bijective in Hi(x′,M)H_i(x', M) for i⩾1i \geqslant 1 and injective in M/(x′)MM/(x')M. These two conditions are clearly equivalent, whence c).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
