Commutative Algebra, II, 146

Let ϕ:A→B\phi : A \to B be a ring homomorphism such that the mapping

aϕ:Spec⁡(B)→Spec⁡(A) {}^a\phi : \operatorname{Spec}(B) \to \operatorname{Spec}(A)
is surjective. Let NN be a finitely generated AA-module; show that, if u:M→Nu : M \to N is an AA-module homomorphism such that u⊗1:M(B)→N(B)u \otimes 1 : M_{(B)} \to N_{(B)} is surjective, then uu is surjective (apply Proposition 19 of no. 4 to Coker⁡(u)\operatorname{Coker}(u)).
