Algebra, I, 152

Let GG be a finite group of order n>1n > 1 and let pp be the least prime number dividing nn. Let PP be a Sylow pp-subgroup of GG and NN its normalizer. Show that, if PP is cyclic, PP is contained in the centre of NN (show that the order of N/PN/P is prime to the order of the automorphism group of PP).
