Exercise 14, § 2

Algebra, II, 390

Let AA be a ring. Show that for every AA-module MM there exists an injective AA-module II such that MM is isomorphic to a submodule of II. (Apply Exercise 13(d)(d) with C=ZC = \mathbf{Z}, using Exercise 11(b)(b) and the fact that every AA-module is the quotient of a free AA-module.)
