Topological Vector Spaces, II, p. 85

Let EE be a Hausdorff locally convex space and FF a locally convex space of minimal type (exerc. 13). *a) Show that if MM is a closed vector subspace of the product space E×FE \times F, its projection on EE is closed in EE (use exerc. 13, e)). *b) Let uu be a linear mapping of EE in FF. Show that if the graph of uu is closed in E×FE \times F, then uu is continuous (use a). c) Suppose that, in EE, every closed vector subspace has a topological complement (cf.* V, p. 13). Show that, in E×FE \times F, every closed vector subspace MM has a topological complement. (If N1N_1 is the projection of MM on EE and N2N_2 a topological complement of N1N_1 in EE, if P1=M∩FP_1 = M \cap F, and P2P_2 is a topological complement of P1P_1 in FF, show that N2+P2N_2 + P_2 is a topological complement of MM in E×FE \times F, using b).)
