Exercise 6, § 3

Integration, VI, p. 70

Let T be a Polish locally compact space, μ\mu a positive measure on T, R a μ\mu-measurable equivalence relation in T, pp a μ\mu-measurable mapping of T into a Polish locally compact space B such that p(x)=p(y)p(x) = p(y) is equivalent to R{x,y}R\{x,y\}, ν\nu a pseudo-image measure of μ\mu under pp, and b↦λbb \mapsto \lambda_b a disintegration of μ\mu by R. For every b∈Bb \in B such that λb≠0\lambda_b \neq 0, let C(b)C(b) be the class mod R that carries λb\lambda_b; show that φC(b)⋅μ\varphi_{C(b)} \cdot \mu is proportional to λb\lambda_b. Give an example where φC(b)⋅μ=0\varphi_{C(b)} \cdot \mu = 0 for every b∈Bb \in B.
