Integration, VIII, p. 61

Let G be a locally compact group, E a Hausdorff locally convex space, E′E' its dual, and UU a linear representation of G in E, continuous for the weakened topology σ(E,E′)\sigma(E, E') on E. Assume that E is quasi-complete for σ(E,E′)\sigma(E, E'), so that U(μ)U(\mu) is defined for every measure μ∈C′(G)\mu \in \mathscr{C}'(G). Show that the bilinear mapping (μ,x)↦U(μ)⋅x(\mu, x) \mapsto U(\mu) \cdot x is hypocontinuous relative to the equicontinuous subsets of C′(G)\mathscr{C}'(G).
