Integration, VIII, p. 60

Let HH be a Hilbert space. A continuous representation UU of GG in HH is said to be unitary if the endomorphisms U(s)U(s) are unitary for all s∈Gs \in G. For every μ∈M(G)\mu \in \mathscr{M}(G), let μ∗\mu^* be the conjugate measure of μˇ\check{\mu}. Show that if μ∈M1(G)\mu \in \mathscr{M}^1(G) then U(μ∗)=U(μ)∗U(\mu^*) = U(\mu)^*.
