Bourbaki marks this one as harder than the rest.

Let GG be a Hausdorff topological group, HH a closed subgroup of GG and π\pi the canonical mapping of GG onto G/HG/H. Suppose that HH is a finite-dimensional real Lie group. There exist a neighbourhood UU of π(e)\pi(e) in G/HG/H and a continuous mapping σ\sigma of UU into GG such that π∘σ=IdU\pi \circ \sigma = \mathrm{Id}_U. (Let ρ\rho be an analytic linear representation of HH on GL(n,R)\mathbf{GL}(n, \mathbf{R}), which is locally a homeomorphism (§ 6, Corollary to Theorem 1). Let ff be a continuous function ⩾0\geqslant 0 on GG, equal to 1 at ee and zero outside a sufficiently small neighbourhood of ee. Let dsds be a left Haar measure of HH. For x∈Gx \in G, we write

g(x)=∫f(xs)ρ(s)−1ds∈Mn(R). g(x) = \int f(xs) \rho(s)^{-1} ds \in \mathbf{M}_n(\mathbf{R}).

Then g(xt)=g(x)ρ(t)g(xt) = g(x)\rho(t) for x∈Gx \in G and t∈Ht \in H. If VV is sufficiently small,

g(x)∈GL(n,R) g(x) \in \mathbf{GL}(n, \mathbf{R})

for xx sufficiently close to ee. Finally use the fact that the theorem to be proved is true locally for GL(n,R)\mathbf{GL}(n, \mathbf{R}) and ρ(H)\rho(H).
