Exercise 4, § 2

Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, IV

Let (G, B, N, S) and (G', B', N', S') be two Tits systems with G = G' and B = B', and with Weyl groups W and W'. Let j be the bijection from W to W' defined by the relation

BwB=B′j(w)B′. BwB = B'j(w)B'.

Show that j is a group isomorphism between W and W' and that j(S) = S'.
