Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, VII, 53

Let g\mathfrak{g} be a nilpotent Lie algebra and V a g\mathfrak{g}-module such that V0(g)=0V^0(\mathfrak{g}) = 0. Show that Hp(g,V)=0H^p(\mathfrak{g},V) = 0 for all p≥0p\geq 0. (Reduce to the case where V = Vλ(g)V^{\lambda}(\mathfrak{g}), with λ≠0\lambda \not= 0 and choose an element x∈gx\in \mathfrak{g} such that λ(x)≠0\lambda (x)\not= 0. Apply Exerc. 6b6b), remarking that the λi\lambda_i are all zero and the μj\mu_j are all equal to λ(x).)\lambda (x).)

Recover the Cor. of Prop. 9 (take p=1p= 1).4.^4
