Let G,G′,G′′G, G', G'' be three topological groups; let ff be a strict morphism of GG into G′G', and let gg be a strict morphism of F′F' into G′′G''. Show that if f(G)f(G) contains the kernel g‾(e′′)\overline{g}(e'') of gg (e′′e'' being the identity element of G′′G''), then g∘fg \circ f is a strict morphism of GG into G′′G'' (cf. no. 7, Corollary to Proposition 21). Give an example in which ff is injective and the preceding condition is not satisfied, and g∘fg \circ f is not a strict morphism of GG into G′′G'' (cf. no. 7, Remark following Proposition 20).
