Exercice 7, § 1

Algèbre commutative, I

Soient U, V, W trois groupes commutatifs, f:U→V,g:V→Wf : U \to V, g : V \to W des homomorphismes.

a) On considère le diagramme

0⟶U→αU×V→βV⟶0f↓h↓−g↓0⟶V→γW×V→δW⟶0 \begin{array}{ccccccccc} 0 & \longrightarrow & U & \xrightarrow{\alpha} & U \times V & \xrightarrow{\beta} & V & \longrightarrow & 0 \\ & f \downarrow & & & h \downarrow & & -g \downarrow & \\ 0 & \longrightarrow & V & \xrightarrow{\gamma} & W \times V & \xrightarrow{\delta} & W & \longrightarrow & 0 \end{array}

où α(u)=(u,f(u))\alpha(u) = (u, f(u)), β(u,v)=v−f(u)\beta(u, v) = v - f(u), γ(v)=(g(v),v)\gamma(v) = (g(v), v), δ(w,v)=w−g(v)\delta(w, v) = w - g(v), h(u,v)=(g(f(u)),v)h(u, v) = (g(f(u)), v). Montrer que ce diagramme est commutatif et que ses lignes sont exactes.

b) Déduire de a) et de la prop. 2 du n° 4 une suite exacte

0→Ker (f)→Ker (g∘f)→Ker (g)→0 \to \mathrm{Ker}\,(f) \to \mathrm{Ker}\,(g \circ f) \to \mathrm{Ker}\,(g) \to
→Coker (f)→Coker (g∘f)→Coker (g)→0. \to \mathrm{Coker}\,(f) \to \mathrm{Coker}\,(g \circ f) \to \mathrm{Coker}\,(g) \to 0.

Donner une définition directe de cette suite exacte.
