Exercice 13, § 2

Fonctions d’une variable réelle, VI, p. 25

Soient ff un entier ≥1\geq 1, χ\chi une fonction définie dans Z\mathbf{Z}, à valeurs complexes, telle que χ(x+f)=χ(x)\chi(x + f) = \chi(x) pour tout x∈Zx \in \mathbf{Z}. Si l’on pose

χ^(y)=1f∑x=0f−1χ(x)e−2πixy/fpour y∈Z, \hat{\chi}(y) = \frac{1}{f} \sum_{x=0}^{f-1} \chi(x) e^{-2\pi i xy/f} \quad \text{pour } y \in \mathbf{Z},

on a

χ(x)=∑y=0f−1χ^(y)e2πixy/fpour x∈Z. \chi(x) = \sum_{y=0}^{f-1} \hat{\chi}(y) e^{2\pi i xy/f} \quad \text{pour } x \in \mathbf{Z}.

Déduire de l’exerc. 12 que l’on a, pour tout entier m≥2m \geq 2,

∑n∈Z−{0}χ(n)nm=−(2πi)mm!∑y=0f−1χ^(y)Bm(yf). \sum_{n \in \mathbf{Z} - \{0\}} \frac{\chi(n)}{n^m} = -\frac{(2\pi i)^m}{m!} \sum_{y=0}^{f-1} \hat{\chi}(y) B_m \left( \frac{y}{f} \right).
Par exemple, on a
1−133+153−⋯+(−1)n(2n+1)3+⋯=π332. 1 - \frac{1}{3^3} + \frac{1}{5^3} - \cdots + \frac{(-1)^n}{(2n+1)^3} + \cdots = \frac{\pi^3}{32}.
