Théories spectrales, II, p. 269

Soit n∈Nn\in \mathbf{N} et soit f∈L1(Rn)f\in L^1(\mathbf{R}^n) (resp. L2(Rn)L^2(\mathbf{R}^n)) tel que f∘σ=ff\circ \sigma =f pour tout élément σ\sigma du groupe spécial orthogonal SO(n,Rn,\mathbf{R}). Alors la transformée de Fourier f^\widehat{f} de ff vérifie f^(σ(y))=f^(y)\widehat{f}(\sigma (y)) =\widehat{f}(y) pour tout σ∈\sigma \in SO(n,Rn,\mathbf{R}) et tout y∈Rny\in \mathbf{R}^n (resp. presque tout y∈Rny\in \mathbf{R}^n).
